Whiskey pricked her ears up as Jenna left the pen, and then shook her head. The mare thingyed a hind leg and looked at the food and water. She hesitaited slightly as she stepped towards the food, watching Jenna. Slowly the mare made her way up to the food, keeping a weary eye on the human. Sniffing the hay, Whiskey grabbed a mouth full and bolted backwards to her corner of the pen. That's where she stayed eating the hay, then kept repeating the process til the hay was gone.
Later on, when Jenna had went to bed, Whiskey moved forwards again. The mare drank the water completely gone, and then nocked the bucket over, wanting more. Sighign softly, the mare layed down and stretched out onto her side as it slowly started to get light.

Jenna came out the next morning and looked to the mare. She stepped into the pen and watched the mare. "Let's do this again, and then you can get some food and water." She says quietly to the mare. She watched her then turned her back to the mare.

Hearing Jenna get up that morning, Whiskey stood up right away, but didn't dart to the back of her pen. She stuck her head over the panels, and watched for a second. Then went to looking out at the other horses at the other end of the pen. Later on,when Jenna came into the pen, the red roan mare snorted and tossed her head up and down, keeping vertical to the human.
Once Jenna had her back turned from Whiskey, the mare turned so she was facing the human. Then slowly, she took one step forwards, but stood there, tossing her head the whole time.

Jenna heard one footstep toward her and smiled. "Good girl" She says and then left the pen, seeing the horse was uncomfortable and tossing her head. She threw a flake of hay in the pen. She grabbed her bucket and left, then came back with it full. She set it down and watched the horse eat then fed the other horses.
She trained horses most the day, and ran into town then came back and fed horses. Again doing the same routine, she walked into the pen and watched the hores quietly, then turned her back to see if the horse would take a few steps towrd her.

Whiskey flicked her ears back and forth as she listened to the girl's words. It sounded like she had done good, but for what? Tossing her head, Whiskey pranced as Jenna left the pen. Soon a flake of hay was thrown into the pen. The red roan mare had just gotten a mouth full of hay when Jenna came back with the full bucket of water. Whiskey bolted to the middle of the pen,and pranced, but didn't go any farther back. When Jenna left again, Whiskey went and ate her food.
That night when Jenna came back into the pen, Whiskey walked about half way to her, then stopped and stood there, tense, but not tossing her head this time. The mare was slowly beginning to trust the two-legger.

Jenna was happy with this horse. She was coming around. Soon she would be doing all sorts of stuff. But Jenna was patient and was taking her time with the mare. The night she walked half way to her, she wanted to just rub and pet the mare. But that would just scare her, so she didn't. She was excited though. She threw in some hay and a water bucket for the mare afterwards. She leaned on the fence and watched the mare quietly. the mare was beautiful. Jenna always liked the roan colored horses. They were just so different.

Whiskey came up and ate the hay and water Jenna had put in with her, but kept a weary eye on the girl as she ate. A low nicker came from her as she seen another horse. Swishing her tail slightly she tried to peek over the pannels. Sighing Whiskey went back to the hay and water and kept eating.. and kept keeping an eye on Jenna.

"Sorry girl. You can be let out when you start trusting me more. " She says to her and then left for the night. Morning was same routine. She went in to see if the horse would come up to her and then fed adn watered her. Then at evening she stood facing the horse, wondering if she would come up to her then. She hoped she would.

Whiskey didn't really do much different the next morning either. She just stayed about half way from the girl, and looked at her. Then that night, Whiskey walked about five feet away from Jenna and stood there. Ears pricked up as she watched her, bodice tensed slightly, showing at any sudden movements she would run. But for now, she just stood there, looking at Jenna.

Jenna watched the horse, looked her in the eye. She wanted so bad to pet this mare, but didn't want to scare her. She talked softly to the horse, hoping for just one more step. She waited for the longest time, then turned around to show the horse she wasn't scared of her, and hoped the mare would take atleast one step more.

Whiskey looked at her quietly, ears flicking back and forth as she watched Jenna look her in the eye. Whiskey swished her tail a couple of times, not really liking being looked in the eye. Then when Jenna turned around, the red roan took a few more steps, and reached out with her muzzle to blow on the back of the girl's neck. Then at the sound of a horse banging agianst something, Whiskey spooked back into the end of the round pen.

Jenna felt the horses breath on her neck. She smiled and then something banged and made a loud noise. The mare spooked and ran off. She growled and tried again. She walked to the middle now and she turned around, hoping the mare would come back over. She crossed her fingers and listened for footsteps.

Whiskey tossed her head and swished her tail as she watched the human move to the middle of the pen. Snorting, the mare moved closer and blew on Jenna's neck again. But she still wasn't very confident.. but was slowly gaining convidence.
